Support Magnus Manson’s Fight for a Cancer-Free Future Win a one-of-a-kind custom Forbidden trail bike. https://youtu.be/YpPDAdQBQRY
Magnus Manson is a professional downhill mountain bike racer and Canadian National Champion who has been in a courageous battle with lymphoma for several years. After months of chemo, a stem cell transplant and a long course of immunotherapy, Magnus has now participated in a promising clinical trial testing CAR T-cell therapy, his best chance yet at long-term management, and potentially, a cure.
This groundbreaking trial reprograms his own immune cells to attack the cancer, a highly advanced process only available in select hospitals in the United States for his type of lymphoma. Although the cost of the trial drug is covered, as an international patient, Magnus was required to cover all costs associated with his participation in the trial, including a $48,000* USD deposit which only covers hospital care and services. This does not include any travel expenses, accommodation or additional hospitalizations related to the treatment.
Despite struggling with side effects from prior treatments, Magnus has remained resilient and hopeful, supported by his family and a close-knit community. His involvement in this Phase 2 trial doesn’t just offer a shot at recovery for him, it also advances science and offers hope to future patients.
With the incredible generosity of Forbidden Bike Company and the Forbidden Dunbar Racing Team, we’re raffling off a custom painted Forbidden Dreadnought V2, which is a replica of the Supernought that was painted for Magnus to race last season. Funds raised will directly support Magnus’s hospital trial costs. If the goal of $48,000* is met Magnus would like to donate any additionally raised funds to a cancer or youth sport charity.
